It’s in the beautiful Annapurna region, where you can see amazing sunrises over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. In this post, I’ll share a simple 11-day itinerary for the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek to help you have an unforgettable adventure!

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek Itinerary


Day 01: Start From in Kathmandu

If you are in Kathmandu, then make some preparation for the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek, and add the necessary gear. Book a flight to Pokhara, You can easily book flights from Kathmandu to Pokhara from travel agencies or use online booking from Buddha Air or Yeti Air (Min 100$). However, You can reach Pokhara by Tourist Bus (Min 10$). You can Book a Tourist Bus from Graceful Adventure.

Day 02: Flight to Pokhara

If you are boarding a morning flight to Pokhara, I recommend taking a leisurely walk to Pokhara Lakeside and exploring attractions in Pokhara Such as Phewa Lake or Fewa Lake, Talbarahi Temple which is located in mid of the Phewa or Fewa Lake, Davis/Devis Falls, Pokhara Shanti Stupa, International Mountain Museum, Sarangkot, Begnas Taal, Bat Cave.

Day 03: Start Annapurna trekking to Tolka 

To reach the Tolkha Village, we first need to reach Kade or Phedi, from where you will do your uphill trek. Witness the panoramic views of Annapurna ranging from the Australian camp before trekking to Tolkha village.

Day 04: Annapurna Panoramic View

Make the best of the amazing sunrise views of Annapurna South and Himchuli in the morning time. After breakfast, begin adventuring to Landruk village. On the way to Ghandruk eco-tourism village, take a break for lunch first. Stay overnight in Ghandruk.

Day 05: Walk around Ghandruk Village.

Start your day with breakfast and begin a trek along a difficult path that passes through a forest of rhododendrons on its way to Thadapani.

Day 06: Reaching the village of Ghorepani.

On day 6, we reached Ghorepani which is one of the most picturesque villages.

Day 07: Sunrise at Poon Hill Tower (10530 ft)

Get a trek to Poon Hill Tower to enjoy the sunrise and appreciate the wonderful views of the Annapurna range there. Come back to the hotel, and pack up for the next day’s trip to Shikha (1980m).

Day 08: From Shikha to Tatopani trekking.

An hour or 2 walk will see one arriving at Tatopani, where you can cool and rejuvenate in the hot springs, giving yourself time to relax and pamper yourself amidst the tranquility of the surroundings.

Day 09: Morning snacks and the trip to Beni.

After a peaceful breakfast, you can then proceed for a road trip or trek to Beni.

Day 10: Back to Pokhara from Beni

A 3-hour drive from Beni takes up to Pokhara, giving the right mix of adventure with a scenic drive.

Day 11: Back to Kathmandu the place where it all started.

Wind up your Ghorepani-Poon Hill trek by returning to Kathmandu; with such striking landscapes and precious memories, this is one amazing trip that you won’t forget.
