Best Time To Visit Nepal
You can visit Nepal almost any time in a year however the best time to visit Nepal depends on what is your motive to visit. If you want to explore and experience cultural/heritage aspects, you can visit anytime.
Nepal has major four seasons, but every season is different. My recommendation is to visit Nepal in the Autumn and Spring seasons.
Table of Contents
Autumn Season (September – November)
Looking for the best trekking seasons in Nepal? You can meet lots of trekkers on the route of Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Base Camp, and Langtang Valley. Most hotels/lodges on these routes will be full and can have spikes in Prices, as autumn is the main season.
The best season to go hiking in Nepal is usually late September, October, or November.
Winter Season (December – February)
The winter season is only good for exploring Nepal’s lower regions. Because of the heavy snowfall in the mountains, the winter season is not the best season to visit Nepal.
Because higher-elevation hiking is not possible during the winter season, the best things to do in Nepal in December are to visit Kathmandu, Lumbini, Patan, and Pokhara.
Spring Season (March-May)
Spring is the peak season of rhododendron blooms, and normally, March, April, and May are normal.
The breathtaking views of the mountains with flowering rhododendrons will take your breath away. The temperature is somewhat warm at low elevations and moderates at higher elevations.
The best things to do in Nepal in March include Bungee Jumping in Bhotekoshi, White water rafting in Bhotekoshi, Paragliding in Pokhara, Sky Diving, and Jungle Safari in Bardiya National Park and Chitwan National Park.
Summer Season (June – August)
A season of Monsoon, daily heavy rainfall with thunderstorms. The monsoon brings landslides, and mountains are covered with clouds. The summer season is not the best time to visit Nepal.
